Our Story

Craig Built This Place With His Own Two Hands

Fresh out of college, Craig McCarthy didn't wait for a break — he made one. He found a spot in Inchicore, rolled up his sleeves, and built his first café from scratch. Every shelf, every counter, every detail — his hands.

The idea was simple: specialty coffee shouldn't cost a week's wages. Boom brings micro-roasted, single-origin beans to working-class Dublin at prices that won't make you flinch.

"A speciality coffee spot without the boom prices."

The Roast

Roasted in Ranelagh. Poured in the Liberties.

Every bean is roasted at our Ranelagh roastery and delivered to both cafés fresh. We source from Bell Lane in Westmeath and rotate single-origins and seasonal micro-lots — so there's always something new in the hopper.

Espresso, flat whites, pour-overs, batch brew, dirty chai — and yes, decaf and oat milk. No judgement, just great coffee.

In-House Roasted

From our Ranelagh roastery to your cup — no middlemen, no markup

Single Origin

Seasonal lots rotated regularly so there's always a new story to taste

Retail Beans

Take the roast home — bags available at both locations

€3.30 Flat White

Specialty coffee at honest, neighbourhood prices

The Kitchen

Every Bite, Baked by a Neighbour

We don't do factory food. Every pastry, cake, and treat comes from local Dublin bakers we know by name.

Tartine

Fresh pastries delivered daily. The almond croissants are the reason half of D8 gets out of bed.

Fan favourite: Almond Croissant

RUA

Gluten-free and vegan treats that actually taste brilliant. No compromises, no cardboard.

Try: The GF Brownie

Tanya's Bakery

Cookie bars and pies with the kind of butter content your grandma would approve of.
